Vice President of Marketing and Media
This is a full time position located in the Marketing Department with variable/flexible working hours to include weekends, holidays and overtime as required with benefits after successful completion of a three (3) month introductory period. This is a promotional opportunity and is an internal/external recruitment.
Position Summary: Under the direction of the CEO of Elvis Presley Enterprises, develop the Marketing and Media efforts to establish a comprehensive marketing program to achieve long-term and short- term goals and objectives including those related to attendance, revenues, and strategic brand positioning and external awareness of all properties and all brands. The VP of Marketing/Media will be responsible for maximizing all media efforts to include television, radio, online and print sources. The position will be responsible for implementing all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving market targets. Specific responsibilities include overseeing the selling of all EPE assets including sponsorships; providing oversight to companywide branding, corporate marketing media, social media, advertising, events and promotions that touch every department within the organization. It will be responsible for driving the company’s efforts to achieve its revenue goals in every area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Establishes strategic marketing/media plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
•Develops and executes comprehensive marketing/media plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of organization.
•Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market and sales opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
•Develops and manages marketing/media operating budget.
•Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic/social media; executing all online and mobile tools utilized by the brand
•Evaluates and recommends distribution channel development programs.
•Determines agencies and suppliers of records/listings and determines cost benefit of use to our business.
•Serves as liaison with outside agencies on ongoing promotional campaigns and sales campaigns.
•Oversees development and production of promotional and collateral materials to include creation and execution of yearly tourism campaign.
•Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
•Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
•Ensures effective control of marketing/media results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing/media objectives falls within designated budgets and those coordinated with other revenue centers.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: BA/BS in business-related field, 10+ years related work experience in communication/media/public relations/marketing areas and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments in related industry. A valid driver’s license is required; work in confidential area; a valid passport is required; enthusiasm for subject of Elvis Presley and a willingness to learn extensively about him and related topics; 5+ years direct supervisory experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stoop, reach, walk and stand for long periods of time; ability to lift boxes weighing up to 25lbs; speak clearly and distinctly.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Must be able to travel and have valid passport.
