Joey Sulipeck

Joey Sulipeck is a lifelong Memphian and is currently the Chief Meteorologist with FOX13, the FOX News affiliate in Memphis, Tenn. He was at Graceland to cover the American Idols when they visited and he’s been active in working with Elvis Presley Enterprises for the past decade.  He was a returning host of Graceland’s annual Candlelight VigilCast and has hosted the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest since the beginning.  He’s a two-time Emmy Award winner, a member of the National Weather Association, a member of Mensa, and a true-blue Elvis fan.


Bill Baize
Former member of J.D. Sumner and The Stamps Quartet

Bill, an ordained minister, has spent his life singing gospel. He sang tenor for the Smitty Gatlin Trio from 1966 - 1967 and later sang tenor for JD Sumner And The Stamps Quartet from 1971 - 1976. Baize has also performed with gospel quartets like the Echoes of Calvary, The Illinoisans, The Trailsmen Quartet, and into the professional spotlight with the Smitty Gatlin Singers. He was with The Stamps Quartet who took the gospel to the world through their highly respected spot with Elvis. He has also appeared at various tributes to the king in recent years.

Larry Geller
Elvis' personal hairstylist and friend

Larry Geller was much more than Elvis Presley's personal hairstylist - he was one of his dearest and most trusted friends.  It was pretty much that way from the moment they met in 1964.  One of L.A.'s premier celebrity hairstylists in the 1960's, Larry clientele read like a Hollywood Who's Who, with such luminaries as Steve McQueen, Peter Sellers, Henry Fonda, Roy Orbison, Sam Cooke, Robert Wagner; the list is endless.

Joe Guercio
Musical Director and conductor for Elvis

Joe Guercio has enjoyed a prolific career, but he is probably best known and admired for his work with Elvis Presley. He was the musical director and conductor for Elvis' concert shows from the summer of 1970 to the summer of 1977 when Elvis made his last concert appearance. Along with the obvious contributions he made to Elvis' shows, including many of the triumphs of Elvis' "concert era", it was Joe Guercio who created the now almost iconic six-note theme for Elvis' stage entrances and bows.

Jerry Hopkins
Author of "Elvis in Hawaii"

Jerry Hopkins has published more than 1,000 magazine articles and 36 books, including several international bestsellers. His 12-hour-long radio series based on his first Presley book, "Elvis: A Biography," was the first foreign documentary ever broadcast by the BBC. He authored two books about Elvis’s long connection to Hawaii, which brings his Presley sales to more than 3.5 million copies. Best known for books about rock music and his contributions to Rolling Stone magazine, he has since left the U.S. and moved to Thailand to write about food, travel, and various aspects of Asian life and culture.

Tom Moffatt
Hawaiian radio DJ and concert promoter

In 50 years as a promoter in paradise, Tom Moffatt has staged the biggest acts in the business - from Elvis Presley to Elton John, Nureyev to the Harlem Globetrotters, and Sinatra to the Rolling Stones. Moffatt was a close friend to both Elvis and his manager Colonel Tom Parker and played a major role in bringing Elvis to Hawaii for several appearances including the "Aloha from Hawaii - Satellite Special." Tom Moffatt has produced hundreds of concerts and performances in nearly every entertainment genre, in the U.S. and throughout the Pacific.

Ed Hill

J.D. Sumner of The Stamps Quartet asked Ed to manage his talent agency and music companies, and in 1973 was asked to sing baritone temporarily until a permanent voice could be acquired. "Temporarily" lengthened into five years of full-time service with The Stamps Quartet and with the late Elvis Presley. Ed, along with The Stamps were permanent members of the Elvis Presley Show until Elvis' death in 1977. The voice heard at the close of each Elvis performance - "Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has left the building. Thank you and good night!" - was none other than Ed himself.

Larry Strickland

Larry Strickland's legendary bass vocal provides a robust bottom end to the Palmetto State Quartet vocal sound. He has been singing bass professionally since the 1970's when he became a member of the renowned J.D. Sumner and The Stamps Quartet. As a member of the Stamps, Larry performed as a background vocalist with Elvis Presley until Presley's death in 1977.

Ginny Tiu
Elvis' co-star in "Girls!Girls!Girls!" and international pianist

Ginny made her national debut as a 5-year-old piano prodigy after appearing on "The Ed Sullivan Show." Tiu chose the big screen over politics after delaying a performance for President John F. Kennedy so she could perform alongside Elvis in the hit movie "Girls, Girls, Girls!" Tiu has traveled around the world and toured in Europe, Asia, and South America, but calls Hawaii home. She currently performs as the grand pianist for the Sheraton Moana Surfrider Hotel in Honolulu and she's released two albums, "As Time Goes By" and "Piano Music to Dream By."

One of the great names in Southern gospel, J.D. Sumner & The Stamps Quartet were Elvis' male back-up singers from 1971 to 1977. Members during the group's time spent with Elvis include: J.D. Sumner, Bill Baize, Tony Brown, Ed Enoch, Ed Hill, Dave Rowland, Richard Sterban, Larry Strickland, Donnie Sumner, Ed Wiedman and others. J.D. Sumner & The Stamps were part of the early tours of the recent hit show Elvis Presley in Concert and continued as a group until J.D.'s death in 1998.
Andy Childs

Andy Childs scored several chart hits and music videos as a solo artist for RCA Records in the 1990’s, then formed the super-group Sixwire and recorded more hits and videos for Warner Brothers Records. Sixwire was recently featured on American Idol’s "American Band" on FOX, and is the featured band on CMT’s "Next Superstar." Andy Childs tours year-round, all over the world, performing solo and with Sixwire. Specializing in convention entertainment and corporate events, Andy’s client list includes FedEx, Nike, Disney, Sun Micro, Trustmark, Merle Norman, and countless others.

Jamie Aaron Kelly

Jamie Aaron Kelley is an internationally-touring performer, award-winning songwriter and recording artist, producer, actor and voice-over artist.  Singing and performing on stage for 27 years, Jamie has recorded many genres of music, and has been influenced by: Rockabilly, Gospel, Blues, Rock, Country and even Big Band and Easy Listening.  As an accomplished musician and entertainer, Jamie has sold-out shows in Japan, Atlantic City, The Netherlands and Canada.

Terry Mike Jeffrey and Band

Terry Mike Jeffrey is a singer, Emmy-nominated songwriter, entertainer, multi-instrumentalist, musical director, arranger and actor. He was born in Paducah, Kentucky, and was singing on stage by the age of 3. Throughout childhood he'd mastered the guitar, piano, sax, and drums. Terry Mike has received critical praise from the New York Times, Variety, LA Times, and Music Row Magazine. He has had Network TV appearances on NBC's Today Show, CBS This Morning, CNN's Showbiz Today and Live with Regis and Kathie Lee.

Legends in Concert Waikiki is presenting a spectacular tribute to the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll featuring some of the best tribute artists in the world with special performances and packages for those attending the 40th Anniversary Celebration to be held Friday and Sunday, January 11 and 13, 2013 at 8:15 p.m. Additionally, the first-ever Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest preliminary held in Hawaii will take place on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 8 p.m. Tickets to Legends in Concert events must be purchased separately.
