Mother's Day     
Today our local paper printed some reader's memories of their Mothers. One man said he and his wife just returned from a business trip to Memphis. He said “Natrually you cannot go to Memphis without visiting Graceland, the home of the King of Rock 'n' Roll, Elvis Presley.” He said being at Graceland made him recall many memories of his Mother. One of them was from the time when he was a young boy and had a newspaper route. After his Saturday route he and his Mother ate breaksfast at a restaurant. “We put money in the jukebox and played five Elvis songs for a quarter. Mom would say, “He treats his mom so wonderful” and “he has a big heart for everyone else.”

Wonderful article about concert Elvis performed in Little Rock on May 16, 1956 in today's Arkansas Democrat Gazette. Fans who attended had been invited to write in and share their memories. Many describe it as still the most exciting evening of their lives and how they are still dedicated fans today. Terrific pictures included with the article. Loved learning how many of these fans are now sharing the King's music with their grandchildren and turning them into fans. The King lives on!
