The '68 DVD set has the two black leather sit-down shows, but was there also a blue suit sit-down show as photos suggest?

No. There are photos of Elvis during the production of the 1968 TV special in which he wears a blue outfit and appears to be doing sit-down jam session with Scotty, D.J. and the guys. Those still shots were made during rehearsals prior to taping the show. Rehearsals were not videotaped. If tape existed, it would be included in the comprehensive DVD set.
