Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will air the broadcast debut of the long-anticipated new edition of the film, Elvis, That's the Way It Is - Special Edition January 15, 2001. The film will be released on Warner Home Video in the U.S. and Canada January 16, 2001, with the DVD release a few weeks later.

The new edition of the film contains many of the original performances, but some 40% of the content is never-before-seen material. The original performances look and sound better than ever, thanks to re-mastering and re-editing. Best of all, the new edit reveals more of Elvis' humor, his humanity and his personality than ever before. You'll see his hard work behind the scenes and his focus on making his performances the best they could be. It's a fascinating glimpse at this truly legendary performer.
