Elvis Gospel Celebration
9:00 a.m. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland.
Details: Start off your morning with an amazing gospel celebration featuring Terry Mike Jeffrey, Andy Childs and former members of J.D. Sumner and the Stamps Quartet – Bill Baize, Donnie Sumner, Ed Hill and Larry Strickland as they sing some of their favorite Elvis gospel songs on stage. Individual tickets are $30 or you can purchase the Elvis Week Main Stage All-Access Pass.

Elvis Presley Fan Club Presidents’ Event
1:00 p.m. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland.
Details: Elvis fans are invited to celebrate the work of Elvis Presley fan clubs during this special event. In addition to celebrating and recognizing the work of fan clubs, the event will feature a program of EPE company updates and special announcements, including the latest from EPE media, marketing, licensing, merchandise, archives and more. The special guest speaker for the event will be Sally Wilbourn, who started as a receptionist for Sam Phillips at Sun in 1955. Sally will share some of her favorite stories and memories of working at Sun in the early days and will be available for autographs following the event.  Entertainer Andy Childs will be our special guest host for this segment. For the August event, the special spotlight charity will be the March of Dimes, which celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. The March of Dimes was an organization that Elvis supported. All attendees are asked to make at least a $5.00 donation which will be collected at the door of the event. Fan club presidents will get an invite and registration form directly from EPE to attend the event for free. Individual tickets are $15.

Memorial Mass for the Repose of the Soul of Elvis Presley
3:00 p.m. 1425 E. Shelby Drive, Memphis, TN 38116.
Details: The Mass will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church on August 15, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. and music beginning at 2:15 p.m.

Candlelight Vigil
8:30 p.m. Gates of Graceland.
Details: After an opening ceremony at the gates of Graceland, fans are invited to walk up the driveway to Elvis' gravesite and back down carrying a candle in quiet remembrance. Free admission. No tickets or reservations. Gates remain open until all who wish to participate in the procession have done so, which typically takes until the early morning hours of August 16, the anniversary date of Elvis' passing. Free secured parking at the Graceland visitor center complex after 6:00 p.m.

Lowell Hays Trunk Show

Details: Meet jeweler Lowell Hays, the creator of Elvis’ famous TCB ring. View both his fine and fashion jewelry lines featuring items made from the original molds of Elvis’ jewelry.

Graceland Stable Tours

Daily tour times: 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Details: Tour the stables at Graceland! Artifacts on display as part of the Elvis Presley Stable Tour include saddles used by Elvis and his entourage, personal western wear worn by Elvis, checks and documents related to the purchase of some of Elvis’ horses, and home movie footage of Elvis on horseback at Graceland. Cost is $15. Dates/times are subject to weather conditions, safety issues and availability. Tickets may be purchased at the Graceland Ticket Pavilion on day of the tour.

Morning and Evening Walk Ups to Meditation Garden

Details: Daily throughout the year, there is a special period of time for free admission walk up visits to the Meditation Garden at Graceland. Elvis Week morning walk ups will be from 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. on August 10-18. Morning walk-ups may not be available on August 16 due to the Candlelight Vigil. Elvis Week evening walk ups will be from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on August 10-14 and August 16-17. Evening walk-ups will not be available the night of August 15 due to the Candlelight Vigil.

Free Entertainment Tent at Graceland Crossing

Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition “Elvis at 21”

Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, Fort Worth, Texas
Details: “Elvis at 21: Photographs by Alfred Wertheimer,” a new Smithsonian traveling exhibition, presents 56 striking images and will open at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History on Saturday, May 25, 2013. Developed collaboratively by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery and the Govinda Gallery, “Elvis at 21” will be on view at Fort Worth Museum of Science and History through September 2, 2013. Alfred Wertheimer will be available for interviews at the museum (upon request) on Thursday, May 23 - Friday, May 24.

To compliment the new exhibition, Graceland Archives will also included rare artifacts related to Elvis in Texas. Those on display from the Graceland Archives include his Army fatigues hat worn in Fort Hood, TX and a Rolex given to him in 1970 while performing in Houston, TX. Learn More.
