Celebrating its fifth year the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest returns to Harrah's Cherokee. A three day contest with one of the biggest purses in worldwide. The winner receives $7500 and entry into the semifinals in Memphis. The first two days of the contest are free to the public and are held in the casino's Essence Lounge. The top five contestants move on to the final round on the last day in the Event Center. Tickets for the final round go on sale April 28, 2012. Come relive the King’s innocent younger days and feel the energy of a young man who was only just beginning to realize his potential. Alfred Wertheimer’s gorgeous photo exhibit has been displayed in prestigious museums and galleries across the country, including the National Portrait Gallery in D.C. and the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. The exhibit is finally coming back to its rightful home here in Memphis just in time for Elvis Week 2012. The Pink Palace will be extending their hours until 9:00 p.m. on August 10 - 15 for the week-long celebration.
