Messages Sent to Trapped Miners in Chile

August 26, 2010

The families of the trapped miners in Chile have been spending their days writing messages of love and support to their loved ones, sending them trinkets, and waiting for any response. Among the items sent to the miners are letters, a football jersey and a photo of Elvis.

From news.com.au:

The family of Edison Pena, a 34-year-old mechanic, have their own surprise gift for him: a photo of US rock and roll legend Elvis Presley.

"Hang in there, because soon you're going to be more famous than Elvis," they wrote in a note accompanying a photo of the singer.
