Tom Brown Gets Ready to Celebrate Elvis' Birthday- and His Own
January 04, 2011

It's going to be a busy week for
Tom Brown. The vice president of original productions for
Turner Classic Movies will be taking part in the
2011 Elvis Presley Birthday Celebration, hosting the Fan Club President's Event and Conversations on Elvis. He'll also be celebrating his own birthday on January 5.
Brown says when he was growing up in Tupelo, Mississippi, his family would bake cakes that read 'Happy Birthday Tommy and Elvis' because Brown was such a huge fan of the King of Rock 'n' Roll.
"I was an Elvis geek" Brown tells the
Atlanta Journal-Constitution. His passion has helped make him a perfect host for Elvis events, like those during Elvis Week in Memphis and on board the Elvis Cruise.
“Tom Brown is not only one of the most knowledgeable expert Elvis masters out there, but his enthusiasm for the movies and music matches up extremely well with all of the Graceland activities and events,” says Tony Yoken, operations manager for
Elvis Radio.
