The
2012 Elvis Cruise from Jacksonville, Florida, to Nassau, Bahamas will feature even more entertainment than any previous Elvis cruise! From panel discussions and concerts, to fashion shows and movies, the cruise will be filled with the King of Rock 'n' Roll. See who will be making a special appearance to share their favorite Elvis memories!
Alfred Wertheimer
In 1956, Alfred Wertheimer was asked by RCA Victor to photograph their newest rising star, Elvis Presley. After the one-day shoot, Wertheimer felt compelled to continue documenting Elvis and his everyday moments during those first crucial years. His iconic images show Elvis in performance, with fans, with his family, and in the recording studio. Wertheimer also captured in his lens such subjects as Eleanor Roosevelt, Elizabeth Taylor, and Leonard Bernstein.
Charles Stone
As the tour producer for Elvis Presley throughout the 1970s, Charles Stone had the rare opportunity to be closely associated with both Elvis and Colonel Tom Parker. Stone flew with Elvis and his associates on the Lisa Marie and experienced daily life in Elvis' world. Stone began his career in entertainment as a booking agent and has worked with acts such as Little Richard, Fats Domino, Louis Armstrong, Led Zeppelin, and Chicago.
Lowell Hays
Lowell Hays first met Elvis in 1969 at his Graceland home. By Christmas of 1970, Hays had become the 'jeweler to the king.' During their years together, Hays made over 200 pieces of jewelry for Elvis including his TCB ring, his lion pendant and chain, his Aloha from Hawaii horseshoe ring, and his American flag pin. Hays was very touched by Elvis' generosity and has many stories about his giving ways.
Larry Geller
Larry Geller was much more than Elvis Presley's personal hairstylist - he was one of his most trusted friends. One of L.A.'s premier celebrity hairstylists in the 1960s, Geller's clientele included Steve McQueen, Peter Sellers, Roy Orbison and Sam Cooke. He first met Elvis in 1964. After styling his hair, Geller stayed for three hours as he and Elvis talked about everything from show business to nature. They remained friends until Elvis' death.
