Anticipation Grows for Elvis and Us Exhibit Grand Opening

September 26, 2011

Billed as the largest showcase of Elvis artifacts in Europe, a growing excitement of the opening of the ‘Elvis and Us’ exhibit has gripped Elvis fans from around the world. Many media outlets, such as the Liverpool Echo and the Liverpool Daily Post have reported that several items from the archives of Graceland, including Elvis’ jumpsuits, his pool table, and others, have not only arrived but have already been set up within the exhibit.

In addition to Elvis’ personal items, this exhibit also showcases a selection of the 3,000 costumes and 400 pairs of shoes from the hit Vegas show "Viva Elvis." When asked about how Viva Elvis pays tribute to Elvis’ life, Viva Elvis’s wardrobe manager Ruben Permel states “We're just trying to celebrate his life, his music, and I think the biggest way we can do that is through the costumes. He had so many iconic looks."

Opening on October 5, 2011, 'Elvis and Us' is a unique exhibition that unites The Fab Four with the King of Rock 'n' Roll at The Beatles Story in Liverpool, England. To get a sneak peek into the exhibit check out the Elvis and Us photo gallery.
