The Elvis and Us Exhibit in Liverpool Now Open

October 05, 2011

Elvis and Us exhibit, the new exhibit that explores the influence of The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll on John Lennon and the early Beatles, was unveiled at The Beatles Story in Liverpool, England, today.

From his iconic "Jailhouse Rock" shirt to the amazing jumpsuits that characterized Presley’s later Vegas career, the new exhibition displays a fabulous array of items previously only seen in photographs, films and on stage.

The influence Elvis Presley had over the young Beatles and the one and only meeting between the two world icons is carefully explored through a series of video interviews shot exclusively for the exhibition. The interviews feature Priscilla Presley, The Beatles 1960s press officer Tony Barrow, NME journalist Chris Hutchins, and members of The Quarrymen, the band that evolved into The Beatles.

The Elvis and Us exhibit will be open through 2012 and is a must see for any Elvis or Beatles fan. Check out exclusive photos of the exhibit and what media agencies from around the world like BBC News have to say about this one of a kind showing.

Also be sure to view the Elvis and Us photo gallery to see all the photos of the newly opened exhibit. Additional photos will be posted soon, so be sure to come back and check them out.
