American Idol’s Lauren Alaina to Appear at Graceland Holiday Lighting Ceremony

Elvis Presley’s Graceland in Memphis will officially kick off the holiday season by “flipping the switch” for the annual lighting celebration on Friday, November 18, 2011at 6:00 p.m. C.D.T. in the Graceland Plaza. The extensive display will include hundreds of blue lights along the driveway, a life-size Nativity scene, Santa and his sleigh and much more originally displayed at Graceland by Elvis and the Presley family.

Highlighting the 2011 lighting ceremony will be Lauren Alaina, finalist from the tenth season of “American Idol,” who will "flip the switch" to officially light the Graceland property and kick off the holiday festivities. Enter to win a trip to meet Lauren and experience the Graceland lighting ceremony for yourself.

In addition, the evening will also feature other holiday fun, including:

  • Tours of Graceland decorated for the holidays until 6:00 p.m.
