Congratulations to the Blackwood family as it was just recently announced that the late Doyle Blackwood was inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Association’s “Hall of Fame” this past weekend.

Doyle, who was an original member of the Blackwood Brothers Quartet, sang bass and played guitar with the group. Later, he managed the Blackwood Brothers Record Shop in Memphis, and sang with The Memphians Quartet, which included Verle Pilant, Chalmers Walker, Jack Marshall and his son, Terry Blackwood who is part of Elvis' Imperials.

This past weekend Terry was in Dollywood to accept the award on behalf of the Blackwood family.
