The Graceland team made their rounds through the Lone Star state this week and continue to draw attention to the exciting new exhibits on display at Graceland.

A Houston Press Rocks Off Blog talks about the many items being featured during the 2012 Graceland Media Tour. Graceland's Archives Director Angie Marchese and Public Relations Coordinator Alicia Dean showcased items such as Elvis' wallet, a pair of his trademark gold sunglasses, his Golden Globe award for the concert film "Elvis On Tour," and his daughter Lisa Marie Presley's baby footprints from the day she was born.

"I didn't get to touch the items, only Marchese did with a pair of white gloves, but I did get in plenty of gawking time," writes Houston Press blogger, Craig Hlavaty.

All of these items are part of three new exhibits on display at Graceland - "ICON: The Influence Of Elvis Presley," "Elvis On Tour," and "Elvis...Through His Daughter's Eyes."

Hlavaty also writes about Graceland's proactive approach at reaching the younger generation and teaching them the impact Elvis made on modern music and the entertainment industry.
