Grammy Award Winning Artist Norah Jones Inspired by Elvis and Graceland

May 01, 2012

Platinum artist and the winner of nine Grammy awards, Norah Jones, says everyone should visit Elvis Presley's Graceland at least once in their life. In a recent article, Jones talks about being a huge fan of Elvis and how Graceland and the city of Memphis inspires her music.

"I love it in Memphis," Jones tells the India Times and STV. "It's the most amazing city - full of warm people and great food."

Jones also recommends visiting the legendary Sun Studios while in Memphis. Sun Studios launched the careers of Elvis, Johnny Cash, and Jerry Lee Lewis.  Jones, known for her swanky jazz and blues voice, says she is inspired more by artists from the '50s and '60s than modern artists.
