Exclusive Graceland Artifact and Photos Now Available for Elvis Insiders
June 08, 2012
Thirty years ago today, Elvis Presley’s home opened to the public and Elvis fans from around the world had the opportunity to peek inside the life of the king. Since the opening day on June 7, 1982, Graceland has welcomed close to 18 million guests including fans, music lovers, political leaders, celebrities and more. Before Graceland plaza existed, fans would gather at a staging area across the street and wait in line for their turn to tour Elvis’ home. This week's Elvis Insiders artifact includes the original flyer for Graceland's opening day and exclusive photos
of the first fans to tour Graceland and the opening day ceremony.
Each week, a rare or never-before-seen photo or document from the Graceland archives is added to the Elvis Insiders
artifacts gallery. This gallery is exclusive to Elvis Insiders Basic and Plus members. Not an Elvis Insider? Learn more about becoming one!
