Photos of Elvis in New York Added to Mobile Apps

June 15, 2012

This week marks the 40th anniversary of Elvis' performances and live recordings at Madison Square Garden. During the weekend of June 10, 1972, Elvis made entertainment history by performing four sold-out shows. These were Elvis' first live concerts in New York City since the 1950s. John Lennon, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, David Bowie and Art Garfunkel were among several famous musicians spotted at the shows. Nine days after his evening show was recorded, RCA released “Elvis as Recorded at Madison Square Garden." The album went gold by August and has since been labeled triple platinum by the R.I.A.A. In honor of the 40th anniversary of Elvis' shows at Madison Square Garden, we've added five photos of his press conference and performances to the Elvis Mobile 2.0 iPhone appElvis Mobile 2.0 Android app, and Elvis for iPad app.
