Winners Announced in the Brooks Museum's "If I Can Dream” International Art Competition
July 18, 2012
The
Memphis Brooks Museum of Art and Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. are excited to announce the winners of the "If I Can Dream” International Art Competition.
The winning works of art will be on display at the Brooks Museum from July 21 - September 16 and visitors to the exhibit will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite piece through
Elvis Week 2012. The remaining submissions will be shown via PowerPoint at the exhibit.
Artists of all ages submitted artwork inspired by the song "If I Can Dream," which Elvis sang during a heart-felt performance at the close of his legendary 1968 NBC television special. After hearing the song for the first time, Elvis said, “I’m never going
