"Fun in Acapulco" Co-Star Joins Guest Speakers at Conversations on Elvis

Manny Lopez, Elvis' co-star in "Fun In Acapulco," will join special guests at "Conversations on Elvis - Elvis in the Movies" on Sunday, August 12 at 1:00 p.m., at the Elvis Week Main Stage Entertainment Pavilion .

Lopez will discuss working with Elvis on-set along with Mary Ann Mobley from "Harum Scarum," Jan Shepard  from "King Creole" and "Paradise, Hawaiian Style," and Chris Noel from "Girl Happy." Lopez is an accomplished band leader, musician, composer, and former night club owner who worked and appeared with Elvis Presley in several musical numbers for the film “Fun In Acapulco.” Manny was also asked to coach Elvis in Spanish for “Guadalajara” which was the closing song and finale.

He has toured and performed with his band in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Miami, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Havana Cuba, and other well known venues. Manny has recorded six albums on the RCA, Imperial and Indigo Labels including such titles as “Cha-Cha-Cha If You Please” and “Why Not Cha-Cha-Cha.”
