August 06, 2012

Elvis recorded both the movie and soundtrack for "Paradise, Hawaiian Style" in late July and early August in 1965. Elvis filmed in Hawaii, one of his favorite spots to vacation, perform, and film. The musical comedy film was released in 1966 and reached #40 on the Variety box office chart and earned $2.5 million in theaters. Elvis arrived at Paramount for production on August 2, 1965 and completed an insurance medical exam and wardrobe fitting before reporting to Radio Recorders for soundtrack recordings. In honor of Elvis' time spent filming and recording the soundtrack for "Paradise, Hawaiian Style," we've added five photos of Elvis filming to our
