Photos of Elvis Filming "Kid Galahad" Added to Mobile Apps

Noted by critics as one Elvis' best films, "Kid Galahad" was released nationwide on August 29, 1962. The story of a small-time boxing promoter and an Army vet turned boxer was Elvis' tenth film and was ranked #37 on the top-grossing films of 1962. The film opened at #9 at the box office and co-starred other legendary actors such as Charles Bronson, Gig Young, and Lola Albright. To prepare for his role, Elvis trained with former junior welterweight champion Mushy Callahan. The film was a remake of the 1937 original directed by Michael Curtiz who also directed Presley's 1958 film "King Creole." Fans can view the original movie trailer on
