Photos of Elvis and Nick Adams Added to Mobile Apps

September 21, 2012

In mid-September in 1956, Elvis had just finished filming "Love Me Tender" in Hollywood. He flew back to Memphis with Nick Adams and Gene Smith under his character's name, Clint Reno. Nick was a struggling actor, part of the "Rebel Without A Cause" gang, who showed Elvis the town and introduced him to actress Natalie Wood. A new book, "Rebel & The King," details Adams' whirlwind eight days in Memphis with Elvis. In 2012, Adam's daughter Allyson discovered the manuscript and decided to publish this lost tale of friendship. The raw, unedited manuscript tells the story of their Hollywood friendship and can be purchased at TheRebelAndTheKing.com. In honor of this rare insight into the king's friendship with the rebel, we've added five photos of Elvis with Nick Adams to the Elvis Mobile 2.0 iPhone appElvis Mobile 2.0 Android app, and Elvis for iPad app.
