Forty years after Elvis Presley's legendary June 1972 performances at Madison Square Garden, long-awaited video footage has made its grand debut. Watch the explosive, karate-chopping performance of the show's climax "Suspicious Minds" at

Captured on a hand-held camera by a tenacious fan with a knockout view, the footage is part of hour-long performances that have been assembled into one package for the first time as part of the "Prince From Another Planet: 40th Anniversary Edition" release. This deluxe 2-CD+DVD box set will be available everywhere November 13th through RCA/Legacy, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, and will feature much more never-before-seen concert footage, a mini-documentary including interviews with Lenny Kaye (Patti Smith Group guitarist, MSG attendee, and package liner notes writer), Jerry Schilling (Elvis' longtime friend), TCB Band members, as well as rare photos and Elvis' boisterous press conference before the shows.

Elvis' first and only public New York City performances, these shows were hailed as "a stone gas" by Billboard, who noted, "Elvis' voice has become richer and more resonant than before." The New York Times said they proved Elvis was "a champion, the only one in his class" and Bob Christgau in the Village Voice noted the communal "rapture" enveloping the building that night.

"Prince From Another Planet: 40th Anniversary Edition" is scheduled to be released on November 13, 2012. Pre-order your copy at
