"Honolulu Star Advertiser" Says Elvis Fans Expected to Flock to Hawaii
October 31, 2012
Tickets for the "Aloha from Hawaii" 40th Anniversary Screening go on sale Friday. The Honolulu Star Advertiser
posted a new article focusing on the monumental significance of this historical moment and why Elvis fans are traveling from all over the world for this one-night event.
Elvis Presley Enterprises' Kevin Kern talks about how raw footage, taken from various camera angles and digitally enhanced with Dolby 5.1 surround-sound, will present the king's legendary concert in a way that has never been seen before. The audience will have the opportunity to see Elvis from three angles at various times on three large screens and the video will not be shown anywhere else in the world.
"It's truly fantastic," Kern said. "We're actually going to follow how it all happened back in the day. How it starts is part of the secret behind who's going to welcome you to the show."
The one-time only enhanced screening will take place at the Neal Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Monday, January 14, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. All tickets are $35 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster and Ticketmaster.com beginning Friday, November 2, 2012.
