Photos of Elvis and His Cars Now Added to Mobile Apps

December 28, 2012

Elvis was an avid collector of cars and over 33 of his automobiles are currently on display in the Elvis Presley Museum here at Graceland. Whether Elvis was riding in his Cadillac, Rolls Royce, or one of his many motorized toys, the king always traveled in style. In the early '50s, Elvis grew attached to the Cadillac, eventually giving his mother the world-famous Pink Cadillac. He also took an interest in BMWs while serving in the army in Germany. In the '60s, his taste gravitated more towards Rolls Royce and Ford Lincolns. Some of his favorites in the '70s were the Stutz Blackhawk, Ford T-Bird, among many others. It was common for Elvis to purchase a car for a complete stranger and he often gave them as gifts to his friends and family. Fans can stroll down the tree-lined street of the Elvis Presley Car Museum and see all of the king's vehicles, including the famous Pink Cadillac, his Harley Davidson motorcycles, and several other classic cars. To celebrate the king's love for automobiles, five photos of Elvis with several of his cars have been added to the Elvis Mobile 2.0 iPhone appElvis Mobile 2.0 Android app, and Elvis for iPad app.
