Events ranged from Club Elvis to the Fan Club Presidents' Event and "Elvis' Tupelo" Presentation to the "Aloha Elvis!" Pops Concert by the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. Rounding out this festive celebration, fans gathered on the front lawn at Graceland on January 8, to sing happy birthday to the king during part of the Elvis Proclamation Ceremony.

Special guests who attended the celebration were Elvis' former girlfriend Anita Wood and her daughter Jonnita Brewer Barrett who authored the new book "Once Upon A Time: Elvis and Anita," along with Elvis' Army friends Rex and Elisabeth Mansfield who authored "Sergeant Presley," and childhood friends from Tupelo, Guy Harris and Sam Bell.
