Bonus Video of Elvis Performing "You Gave Me A Mountain" Now Available to Elvis Insiders
March 28, 2013
Basic and Plus Elvis Insiders can enjoy a new bonus video of Elvis performing "You Gave Me A Mountain" during the original 1973 "Aloha From Hawaii Via Satellite" Concert. This powerful performance captures Elvis from all angles wearing the famous American Eagle jumpsuit with a leis around his neck. Elvis broke several records during these performances held at what is now the Neal Blaisdell Center. The concert was broadcast live via satellite on January 14, 1973, and is regarded as the most watched broadcast by an individual entertainer in television history. The concert was a fundraiser for the Kui Lee Cancer Fund and raised more than $75,000 for cancer research in memory of the Hawaiian composer and entertainer. In January of 2013, Elvis fans returned to Hawaii to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of "Aloha From Hawaii." Check out photos and video
