Mother Dolores Hart's New Memoir Featured on WashingtonTimes.com

Elvis fans now have the chance to hear the fascinating story of a Hollywood bombshell turned nun who worked with Elvis in his early filming career. Elvis' former "Loving You" and "King Creole" co-star, known as Mother Dolores Hart, talks about her new book “The Ear of the Heart: An Actress" Journey from Hollywood to Holy Vows” with the WashingtonTimes.com.

“The kiss from Elvis was the thing that put me right smack into the middle of Hollywood. It’s where I wanted to be,” Mother Hart said in a telephone interview.

Hart made the decision to join Abbey of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem, CT, to began her spiritual journey, six years after appearing in "Loving You." Hart recalls the first on-screen kiss she shared with the "hottest musical sensation of the day" and shares stories about palling around with the man who became the King of Rock 'n' Roll.

“He carried a guitar even between scenes, and they would sing gospel music,” Mother Hart recalled to the WashingtonTimes.com. “I loved it.”

Hart, who is an active member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, continues to cast her annual vote and recently appeared in the 2012 Academy Award -nominated documentary and HBO Special "God is the Bigger Elvis."
