July 11, 2013

Today, Elvis fans chimed in for one hour to talk about their knowledge on Elvis at Sun Studio and connect with other Elvis fans on Twitter.

On July 5, 1954, rock 'n' roll history was made when Elvis, along with band members Scotty Moore and Bill Black, recorded "That's All Right" inside Sun Studio in Memphis. After trying unsuccessfully to capture old ballads, Elvis, Scotty and Bill decided to take a break. Elvis began fooling around and singing the upbeat Arthur Crudup song “That’s All Right” and the trio broke out in a jam session. Sam Phillips immediately rushed in and began capturing it all on tape. This moment forever changed music and pop culture. Now, Elvis fans can share their stories and knowledge of Elvis and his early recording days through Twitter!
