July 19, 2013

Beginning in July of 1970, Elvis returned to Las Vegas for what Colonel Tom Parker called “The Elvis Presley Summer Festival.” In late July, MGM was on hand to shoot the studio scenes for the film titled “That’s the Way It Is.” The film shows in-depth, Elvis behind-the-scenes, in rehearsals, in the recording studio and on stage. This was Elvis' first documentary film chronicling his return to the stage at the Las Vegas International Hotel from August 10 - September 7, 1970. In celebration of Elvis' time recording at MGM, we've added five photos to our Elvis Mobile 2.0 iPhone appElvis Mobile 2.0 Android app, and Elvis for iPad app.
