FAQ
ELVIS: THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT
8:00 PM - August 16, 2007
FedExForum
Memphis, Tennessee

This FAQ was updated on 5/3/07 and again on 5/4/07 to eliminate questions now covered in the updated listing for the concert, to eliminate questions that are no longer pertinent, and to add information (immediately below) for VIP ticket holders.

I bought VIP tickets.  How will I know where and when to check in and take advantage of the VIP benefits at the concert?

On show night there will be a booth set up in the lobby of FedExForum where VIP ticket holders, by showing their tickets, may pick up their VIP badges and gift bags, and be directed to the VIP reception room.  The time that the VIP booth will open is TBA.  The times that the VIP reception room will be available before and after the concert are TBA.  Once these and other VIP details are determined, we will post information here on Elvis.com, e-mail directly to VIP ticket holders who bought online and provided an e-mail address, and include alerts in e-newsletters.

Are there children's prices?  Do children of a certain age range get in free?

Prices are the same for people of all ages 2 and older.  Children under 2 years old (babes in arms not needing a seat) may attend free with their paying parent or guardian.

Is the content of this concert event appropriate for children and families?

Elvis:  The 30th Anniversary Concert
is "family friendly" and is appropriate for all ages.  But, it is a rock concert, so be prepared for it to be quite loud.

What about handicapped accessibility?

Handicapped access seating was made available in all price categories.  Even with a sell-out declared, handicapped patrons are advised to check with Ticketmaster or the FedExForum box office for possible availability.

I live outside the United States.  Is there anything special I need to do regarding monetary exchange rates (such as Euros in the UK to dollars in the USA)?

No.  The ticketing service will charge American dollars to your credit card and the financial institution that administers your card will take care of the adjustment of U.S. dollars to the currency in your country.  Your credit card statement should indicate your ticket charges in the currency of your country.  Here is one of the sites offering currency exchange rate calculations:
http://www.gocurrency.com/add-converter.htm

Is there a limit on how many tickets I can buy in one order?

There is no limit on how many tickets you can buy that are currently available in any price category.

I'm the organizer of a large travel group.  Is there anything special I should do to make arrangements for my group, including getting our seats all together or in the immediate vicinity of each other?

If you are making arrangements for a travel group of 50 or more people, contact the FedExForum box office at
boffice@grizzlies.com to make such arrangements and to ask any further questions about group accommodations.

Will my tickets be mailed to me or do I pick them up at the FedEx Forum box office?

Continental United States:  Tickets purchased with a continental United States address will be mailed via regular U.S. Mail if purchased before August 6, 2007.  If purchased very close to show date, the tickets will be held at the FedExForum box office for pick-up during business hours on any day from the date of purchase through show night.  At any time prior to the concert, you also have the option of selecting TicketFast as your method of delivery.  During this process the tickets are sent via e-mal as a PDF attachment you can print out.

Outside the continental United States:  Tickets purchased with an address outside the continental United States will not be mailed because regular mail is not as reliable or timely for such mailings.  Tickets will be held at the FedExForum box office for pick-up during business hours on any day from the date of purchase through show night.  At any time prior to the concert, you also have the option of selecting TicketFast as your method of delivery.  During this process the tickets are sent via e-mal as a PDF attachment you can print out.

FedExForum will ship tickets outside the continental United States via Fed Ex if requested.  We recommend pickup at the box office.  Why incur such heavy shipping charges unnecessarily?

Is there a seating chart available specific to Elvis: The 30th Anniversary Concert?

Please refer to the "End Stage" map found on the FedExForum and Ticketmaster site.  However, please note that more seats to the sides of the stage are "killed" for our show because enjoying it requires a good view of the big video screens that present the "Elvis-interactive performance" effect of our production.  Of course, no seating is available behind the stage.

What if I purchase tickets and later find that I am unable to attend the show – will refunds be available?

Ticketmaster and FedExForum policies do not allow for refunds.  Giving or re-selling your tickets to a fellow Elvis fan would be your best option for handling your unused tickets.  Posting on various Elvis fan message boards you have access to could be a good means of communicating if you don't have anyone in particular in mind to offer your tickets to.

If Ticketmaster and FedExForum indicate a sell-out, is all hope lost for me to get tickets to the show?

As with any concert, the producers of Elvis:  The 30th Anniversary Concert and FedExForum have to hold back a certain number of seats to accommodate known and potential corporate and sponsor commitments and special contingencies.  Also, some seats "killed" for production reasons could open up once all the staging plans are finalized and it is determined that the seats have a good view.  Releases of held-back seats could happen at undetermined intervals from now through show day.  So, if you hear "sold out," don't give up until the curtain goes up on show night. Keep checking with Ticketmaster and watch for announcements on Elvis.com an in our e-newsletters http://www.elvis.com/newsletters/.

How do I find out more about the FedEx Forum – directions, parking, etc.?

Visit the FedEx forum site:
http://fedexforum.com/

May I bring a camera to the show?

Despite the rules typical for other concerts and no matter what anyone might mistakenly tell you to the contrary – even a venue staff member who doesn't get the memo - at our concert still cameras (traditional, digital, phone) will be allowed and use of flash will be allowed.  This is in the tradition of concerts Elvis performed in life.  It would not be the true Elvis concert experience without a veritable lightening storm of flashes going off and we want anyone who desires personal photos of the 30th Anniversary Concert to have them.  However video recording devices, film equipment and audio recording devices are strictly prohibited because the music and footage presented in the show are the protected copyrighted property of various entities and the rights of the live performers are to be protected as well.
