After carefully examining the wealth of unreleased outtakes from Elvis’ early 60s Nashville sessions, we decided to limit the time span for FAME AND FORTUNE to the first 12 months of Elvis post-army career. The number of great songs and wonderful outtakes once again underline the fact that Elvis’s voice was never more spectacular than during this period. FAME AND FORTUNE covers the album sessions for ELVIS IS BACK, HIS HAND IN MINE and SOMETHING FOR EVERYBODY, including several of the additional hit singles recorded at these sessions.
