On August 14, at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Memphis, the 2008 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest held their final round of competition. Ten Elvis tribute artists advanced from the semifinals on August 13 to compete this evening, where Brandon Bennett, from Ponchatoula, Louisiana, was named the 2008 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist.

Brandon is a southern boy from Louisiana and has been paying tribute to Elvis for the past eight years. Brandon is a fireman in his hometown. He considers himself truly blessed to be singing the music he loves, and enjoys keeping Elvis' memory alive for another generation of fans.
