New Photos Now on Elvis Mobile App for iPhone

11/16/2009

Five new rare, behind the scenes photos from Elvis' 1961 film, Blue Hawaii, have been added to the FREE Elvis Mobile iPhone app. The film’s principal photography was filmed in Hawaii over a span of three weeks in March and April, 1961, with the rest being finished at Paramount studios. The soundtrack album for the film was Elvis’ most successful chart album, spending 20 consecutive weeks in the #1 spot of the Billboard LP’s chart in 1961-1962 (a record to be broken only in 1977 by Fleetwood Mac’s Rumors album), and it stayed on the charts for 79 total weeks.
To see five other rare photos of Elvis from Blue Hawaii, like the one above, you can download the FREE Elvis Mobile iPhone app.
