Elvis Festival Returns to Manchester, New Hampshire

12/28/2009

The second annual New England Elvis Festival returns to the Radisson Hotel Manchester, NH, September 3-5, 2010, with a full weekend of music and entertainment. Modeled after the successful LakeGeorge.com Elvis Festival, the New England Festival brings together 20 of the world’s most seasoned Elvis Tribute Artists (ETAs) vying for the champion’s crown and more than $3,500 in prize money.

Professional ETAs from all corners of the US and as far away as England and Australia have been invited to appear. Those taking part will perform 15-minute sets on both Friday and Saturday and will have their results from both nights tabulated to determine the overall winner. “The competition we’ve put together will work out well for the fans,” said Talent Director Terry Collins, noting that all performers have experience playing at major venues in Las Vegas or Memphis. “The level of talent we’ve assembled will capture our fans’ hearts and give them a memorable show all weekend long.”

In addition to the weekend-long ETA competition, the festival will feature an Elvis Collectibles sale, an Elvis Gospel Music Competition, After Hours events and the feature presentation, “Rock ‘Til You Drop,” with performers paying tribute to Elton John, Tom Jones, Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley. “This will be one of the best shows we’ve ever produced,” comments Festival Director Jason Sherry. The show features some of the world’s best tribute artists, including Dwight Icenhower, Irv Cass, Jesse Aron and last year’s New England Elvis Festival Champion Jim Barone, backed by the Change of Habit Tribute Band and accompanied by Master of Ceremonies Ronny Craig.

Tickets for the 2010 New England Elvis Festival go on sale February 8, 2010. Ticket packages for the entire weekend of entertainment start at $65 with tickets to Saturday’s show starting at $45. Overnight accommodations are available at the Radisson Hotel Manchester, NH, where all events will take place.
