The first installment of the Greatest American special series airing Sundays in June on Discovery aired on June 5th. Public voting had placed Elvis in the top 100. In that first show the top 100 were profiled and the top 25 vote-getters were revealed. The rest of the top 100 were eliminated. Elvis made that top 25! Now it's on to voting for the top 5. So visit the Greatest American site for all the details and to vote, vote, vote for Elvis! The poll for the top 5 closes Friday, June 17 at 9:00 AM Eastern.

What's Next

Be sure to watch the second installment of the Greatest American TV specials this Sunday, June 12th. The top 25 will be profiled again, so Elvis will be part of that show.

Then, watch the show on Sunday, June 19th. The top 5 will be revealed with a "town hall" debate about the worthiness of the candidates. If Elvis has made the cut, then his friend and ours, Jerry Schilling, will represent Elvis in the debate along with another person yet to be confirmed. When that episode airs, if Elvis is in that top 5, then please vote, vote, vote for Elvis again and let's see if we can get him to number one!

The Greatest American will be announced on the final show on Sunday, June 26th.
