Fans Focus Fundraising Efforts on USS Arizona Memorial
The USS Arizona restoration project has been designated as the spotlight non-profit for the Elvis Presley Fan Club President’s Event at the Elvis Week Main Stage at Graceland. EPE is asking that all attendees to the event bring at least a $5.00 donation to go towards Pacific Historic Parks’ USS Arizona Restoration efforts. The donation will be collected at the door of the event.

Priscilla Presley to Appear at Elvis Week Main Stage
Priscilla Presley will make a special appearance at Conversations on Elvis- Behind the Camera on August 15, 2012, at the Elvis Week Main Stage at Graceland at 10:00 a.m. Priscilla will talk about her efforts to open Graceland to the public 30 years ago and other topics of interest and more.

Elvis Musical “Hound Dog Tour” Returns for Elvis Week 2012
The streets of Memphis will be alive with music during Elvis Week 2012 with the return of Backbeat Tours’ popular Hound Dog Tour. A 90-minute all-Elvis sightseeing tour of the city, the Hound Dog Tour has become an Elvis Week tradition, with many passengers returning year after year.

Autograph Sessions Info Available
Autograph sessions with Elvis Week Main Stage guests will be held for all Conversations on Elvis events and the Official Elvis Insiders Conference. Autograph sessions will be held in the Elvis Lives Exhibit for 2 hours following each event and during the lunch break of the Official Elvis Insiders Conference.

Artifact: 1954 Memphis State University Yearbook
In November of 1954, Elvis made a guest appearance for the Memphis State Student Government Association's blood drive. This week's Elvis Insiders artifact is a page from the 1954 Memphis State University yearbook featuring a photo of Elvis before he catapulted into stardom.
