“The well-known black and white photograph of Elvis on the train home to Memphis inspired me to paint this piece, but I wanted to paint the face of Elvis with abstract strokes and vivid colors. I listen to Elvis music when I paint him, and focus on loosening up just like Elvis showed the world how to loosen up.”
